Chinese Drumming

The Chinese drum is more than a rhythm—it’s the voice of bold expression. In this powerful performance, our students, trained by professional drumming instructor Ms Nancy Ong from The TENG Company, channel resilience and passion through every beat.
Each strike of the drum tells a story—of bravery, exploration, and the joy of creating something extraordinary. As the rhythms rise and collide, they echo a powerful message: creativity flourishes when we dare to be heard.
A heartfelt thank you to The TENG Company for empowering our students with this incredible opportunity. Their journey has not only sharpened their skills but also ignited a deeper love for the art of Chinese drumming.
Singers

Two students will be lending their incredible voices to our stage plays, adding a whole new layer of emotion and depth to the performance.
Their captivating vocals will enrich each scene, transforming the showcase into a fully immersive experience that resonates with heart and soul. Join us in celebrating the magic that happens when storytelling and song come together in a performance that’s bold, beautiful, and unforgettable!
The Ensemble

Our talented students from the Literacy Through Drama class will open each play with a powerful poetic prologue. With voice, expression, and rhythm as their instruments, these young performers draw you into the heart of each story before a single line of dialogue is spoken.
These prologues are invitations into a world of wonder, emotion, and imagination. Each performance sets the tone, casting a spell of anticipation over the audience and offering a glimpse into the emotions that lie ahead.
Drama Plays
The Great Fall

Based on Andrew Pavey’s Humpty Dumpty, The Great Fall scrambles expectations in the best way possible!
Humpty Dumpty faces a cracking dilemma—he’s meant to fall, but he refuses! With a stubborn narrator, a breakfast-obsessed King, and two unhelpful talking horses, chaos ensues. Will Humpty take the plunge, or defy expectations? This playful twist on the classic tale is packed with laughs, surprises, and a touch of rebellion.
The Secret

Adapted from Debra A. Cole’s play of the same title, this retelling brings charm to a timeless tale of curiosity!
In a whimsical land, a curious child with a big secret encounters mischievous trolls. As chaos unfolds, the clever child outwits them all until curiosity wins and the secret is revealed… but some things are better left unknown! A playful tale of wit and mystery, The Secret reminds us that not all secrets are meant to be shared.
Be part of this unforgettable celebration of creativity, courage, and growth.
Your presence means the world to our students, it shows them that
their voices matter, their talents shine, and their efforts are valued.
Come witness the incredible journeys they’ve taken, and share
in the joy, pride, and inspiration of this very special showcase! 🌟

MEET THE CAST OF THE SECRET
Based on Debra A. Cole’s play of the same title, this enchanting retelling bursts to life with fresh charm
and boundless energy!
In a whimsical fairytale world, a curious village child is just trying to get home—until two mischievous trolls stir up trouble. But this isn’t an ordinary day. Today, the child is carrying a huge secret. And suddenly, trolls, fairies, and even a towering giant are desperate to uncover it! As the journey spins into a whirlwind of riddles, tricks, and magical mayhem, the clever child stays tight-lipped. But when curiosity bubbles over and the secret finally slips out… let’s just say, some things are better left unsaid.
The Secret is a cheeky, charming tale of wit, and the delicious mystery of the unsaid!

MEET THE CAST OF THE GREAT FALL
Based on Andrew Pavey’s Humpty Dumpty, The Great Fall scrambles expectations in the best way possible!
Humpty Dumpty is facing an egg-istential crisis! He’s supposed to tumble off that wall—but he’s not cracking under pressure. Not today! With a flustered narrator trying to keep the story on track, a King more focused on his royal breakfast than his royal duties, and two talking horses who are definitely not the sharpest tools in the stable, things go delightfully off the rails. Will Humpty stick to the script or rewrite his own ending?
A twist twist on a classic tale, Humpty Dumpty serves up silliness, surprises, and a splash of extraordinary rebellion!

MEET THE PERFORMERS IN THE ENSEMBLE
For in the heart of every story lies a chorus of voices—watchful, wondrous, and wise. This is the Ensemble, the unseen hands that cradle the tales of The Great Fall and The Secret, whispering their truths between the lines. With rhythmic verses and playful rhymes, the Ensemble steps forward to set the stage. Before each play begins, they summon its world into being — painting the air with poetry, shaping laughter and lessons with their words. They are the voice of Humpty’s rise and ruin, the echo of secrets long concealed, the breath before the curtain lifts.
Listen well, for their words hold the weight of wisdom, the spark of wonder, and the heartbeat of these stories we share tonight.
