The goal of the Company is to establish a world-class organisation committed to empowering people who learn differently including those with dyslexia in Singapore.
We are driven by a steadfast dedication to providing exceptional support, resources, and opportunities that enable these learners to flourish academically, emotionally and socially.
At the core of our organisation lies a deep commitment to understanding and addressing the unique challenges faced by those who learn differently. By employing evidence-based approaches, innovative interventions, and personalised strategies, we strive to unlock their untapped potential, fostering a sense of belonging, confidence, and purpose.
Our goal extends beyond providing individualised support. We actively cultivate a culture of inclusivity and advocacy, working closely with educators, parents and the broader community to foster awareness, acceptance and understanding of struggling learners. By partnering with stakeholders, we aim to influence policy, shape educational practices, and create an environment that values and supports the diverse needs of all learners.
Our ultimate aspiration is to be recognised as a global leader in empowering those who learn differently. By championing their potential, we envision a future where every learner who finds learning challenging can achieve their dreams and contribute meaningfully to society.
The DAS strategy in the coming years remains unchanged and this is “To build a comprehensive and holistic range of programmes and services to empower those who learn differently including those with dyslexia”. Major areas for development include the increasing use of technology in our classrooms, piloting additional support for Normal Tech students and students from Institutes of Higher Learning as well as highlighting the challenge of bullying of students with dyslexia and those who struggle to learn.
The breadth and complexity of work at DAS has increased significantly. DAS is recognised as the Specialist Provider of services for Dyslexia, Specific Learning Differences and those who learn differently in Singapore, we continue to be the pioneering country in almost everything we do and there is much more we can accomplish for the greater benefit of our clients with Dyslexia, Specific Learning Differences and those who learn differently.
