Conference Scholarships are available
This scholarship initiative is designed to support the professional development of educators and practitioners who work with children, young people, and adults who learn differently, particularly those who may otherwise face barriers to accessing international conferences.
Scholarships are open to:
Participants residing outside of Singapore, Â
Participants who are working within a charity or not-for-profit NGOÂ in the field of Special Educational Needs or inclusive education.
Priority will be given to individuals whose work directly supports learners who learn differently and who can demonstrate how attending UNITE will contribute meaningfully to their professional practice.
What does the scholarship cover?
The scholarship covers: Full conference registration for UNITE 2026
Please note: Travel, accommodation, and other related expenses are not included and will need to be borne by the participant.
As part of this scholarship, participants are expected to contribute back to the learning community by sharing their UNITE experience. Sponsored delegates will be asked to complete one or more of the following:
Completion of the official UNITE feedback form issued by the conference organisers (compulsory)
One or more social media posts reflecting on their conference experience
A short blog article for publication on the DAS website
Becoming a member of RETA – Register of Educational Therapists (Asia) as a professional member
These contributions help extend the impact of UNITE beyond the conference itself, strengthening professional dialogue and shared learning across borders.
Through this scholarship, DAS and the Oak Foundation aim to:
Build professional capability in inclusive and special education
Support educators and practitioners working in under-resourced contexts
Foster international knowledge exchange focused on supporting individuals who learn differently
