Last June Holiday was the first run of EEVA (Essential Elements of Visual Arts) 10-hour Art Holiday Program. It was delivered over the span of 5 days from Monday 6 to Friday 10 June 2022. What’s so attractive about our art class is that students don’t just get to paint and draw, they got to experiment making art with variety of household items including clothe pegs, sponges, aluminium foil, card board boxes, etc. To add colours to their pieces, it wasn’t just about paints and brushes, students explored using their fingers and hands as a tool to mix their colours and beautify their pieces. Things did get messy but nothing beats the multi-sensory experience that children got. Each day students get to meddle with different medium through the variety of art & craft work so there’s never a dull moment!
To enrich their experience further, at the beginning of each lesson, the children learnt about animals that they were going to draw and some fun facts as well. They got to exchange knowledge and built on what they already knew. This facilitated much interactions among the children and at the end of the five days all of them became fast friends to the delight of their teacher of course!
I would like to express my thanks to parents who supported our Holiday Program at such short notice and the compliments that came in thereafter. The content of this workshop has been especially curated to fit our students’ profile and skill level. If you would like your child to join us for our next intakes do drop me an email at [email protected]
