Durgeswari Mogan joined the Dyslexia Association of Singapore (DAS) in 2018 and is currently a Senior Educational Therapist. She provides specialised intervention for learners with dyslexia and other specific learning differences through both the DAS Main Literacy Programme and the DAS Maths Programme. As a key member of the Maths Core Team, she contributes to curriculum development and plays an active role in training and supporting DAS Maths Educational Therapists. She also conducts profiling tests and assesses new students’ abilities to ensure they are placed in suitable classes.
Prior to joining DAS, Durges worked with students diagnosed with Schizophrenia, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Specific Language Impairment (SLI), and anger management challenges, supporting them in managing both academic and emotional difficulties.
Durges holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Special Educational Needs from the University of South Wales, a Specialist Diploma in Educational Therapy from DAS Academy, and a Master’s degree in Counselling from Monash University. She has also completed a Certificate in Supporting SpLD Learners in Mathematics and a Professional Certificate Course in Mathematics from DAS Academy.
Durges values recognising each student’s learning needs and interests. Through engaging and interactive lessons, she guides learners to build the essential skills and confidence to embark on a fulfilling and empowered learning journey.
