Durgeswari Mogan is a Senior Educational Therapist at the Dyslexia Association of Singapore (DAS) since 2018. She provides intervention for learners with dyslexia and other co-morbidities on the Main Literacy Programme. Prior to working in DAS, she worked with students with Schizophrenia, Autism, Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD), Specific Language Impairment (SLI) and anger management issues to assist them in managing their academic and emotional challenges.
Durges holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Special Educational Needs from the University of South Wales, a Specialist Diploma in Educational Therapy (EdT) from DAS Academy and a Master’s in Counselling from Monash University. In addition, she recently completed a Certificate in Supporting SpLD Learners in Mathematics and a Professional Certificate Course (PCC) in Mathematics from DAS Academy.
Durges values the importance of identifying her students’ learning needs and interests. By teaching them to equip themselves with essential skills through fun and interactive lessons, she believes that she can pave the way for their adventurous learning journey.
