BOWSHIYA BEGUM

Bowshiya Begum joined DAS in August 2009 and is currently a Senior Manager in Learning Centre Management. Over the years, she has held multiple roles within DAS, including Learning Centre Administrative Assistant, Education Division Administrative Officer, Centre Manager, and Senior Manager (Corporate Services). She also oversaw the Bursary function, managing bursary applications, policies, and streamlining related processes.

Currently, Bowshiya oversees the ICT Department, where she supports enterprise applications, network infrastructure, and cloud-based systems. She works closely with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure IT services are secure, reliable, and efficient.

Her responsibilities include cybersecurity audits, vulnerability assessments, access control management, and system enhancements that support organisational operations. She is also actively involved in improving IT processes, strengthening policy compliance, and driving technology adoption across teams.

Bowshiya experienced learning differences and faced challenges during her education journey. Through self-belief and the encouragement of her teachers and friends, she overcame these difficulties. She lives by the principle: Never give up — when there is a will, there is a way.
