Adrienne has been tutoring and supporting kids and adults with dyslexia for 10 years before joining the Dyslexia Association of Singapore (DAS) in June 2017.
At DAS, she provides intervention for learners with dyslexia as well as other co-morbidities such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), Social Anxiety Disorder and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), for both the primary and secondary levels, on the PREP2PSLE (Preparation for English Paper 2 PSLE) and MLP (Main Literacy Programme). Adrienne enjoys working with children and believes that every child is special, each having their own gift that is waiting to be discovered. As a parent of grown-up children who overcame learning and behavioural challenges, she is able to understand and help the entire family, as well as the child, to boost their self-esteem and improve communication within the family. She hopes to be able to make a difference in her student’s lives, not just in terms of academics but also in terms of their mental, emotional and behavioural well-being by strengthening students’ confidence so that they are able to achieve their maximum potential.
She is a strong advocate in parent-teacher partnerships to understand and support the child for significant improvement.
