The Toa Payoh Learning Centre, DAS’s second-largest, expands support for students with dyslexia, bringing the total number of centres in Singapore to 12. Dyslexia affects 4% to 10% of the population, with 20% of learners facing broader challenges. Since April 2024, DAS has welcomed students without a formal diagnosis, many from low-income families needing financial aid. Over 50% of DAS students receive bursaries, requiring nearly $3 million annually to sustain support. MP Chee Hong Tat highlighted the centre’s role in promoting inclusive education.
