LEE YI FAN

  • Educational Therapist
  • Jurong Point Learning Centre

Yi Fan joined the Dyslexia Association of Singapore in 2025 as an Educational Therapist. In this role, he develops and executes individualised lesson plans to support students who struggle with learning English. His teaching is rooted in empathy, structure, and an unwavering belief in the potential of every learner.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Korean. His training in psychology gives him a deeper understanding of the thoughts, emotions, and learning needs of children with special educational needs. This insight allows him to approach his students with both tact and sensitivity, creating a classroom environment that is both supportive and respectful.

As a learner of four languages—Mandarin Chinese, English, Malay, and Korean—Yi Fan brings a multilingual perspective to his teaching. Having personally experienced the challenges of acquiring new languages, he is well attuned to the obstacles students often face. He also sees teaching as a two-way process, where he continues to grow and improve alongside his students.

At the core of his work is a strong belief in the beauty of differences. He sees being different—not as something strange—but as something special. He values diverse ways of thinking and learning, and strives to help each student embrace their individuality with confidence. It is his genuine desire to support others that inspired him to pursue the path of an Educational Therapist.
