JANINE KOH

Janine joined the Dyslexia Association of Singapore (DAS) as a full-time Educational Therapist teaching students with dyslexia and other learning differences on the DAS Main Literacy Programme and the DAS iReaCH Programme. She graduated with a Bachelor of Social Sciences in Psychology (Honours with Distinction) from the National University of Singapore.

Janine is a trained Educational Therapist with a Specialist Diploma in Educational Therapy, which has strongly shaped her instructional practice. Grounded in evidence-based and structured literacy approaches, she designs lessons that are explicit, multisensory, and carefully scaffolded to meet each student’s individual learning profile.

She is deeply passionate about building students’ confidence and self-belief, and places strong emphasis on recognising and nurturing their strengths alongside addressing their learning needs. Janine believes that when students feel understood, supported, and capable, meaningful learning can take place. She is particularly motivated by seeing students develop resilience, independence, and a more positive relationship with learning.
