Charis Chiong Zi Qi joined the Dyslexia Association of Singapore (DAS) in June 2017. Charis enjoys her role in helping students take steps to overcome their literacy difficulties by providing intervention. She also partners with parents to help their child boost their self-esteem and provides a listening ear.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and has recently completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Special Education Needs and Additional Learning Needs. At DAS she leads centre-level bonding activities with her colleagues to create a fun and cooperative workplace environment. Being able to see her students grow and triumph over their literacy difficulties has given her joy, and the constant challenge to continually improve herself and to challenge her students to be better versions of themselves has brought meaning to the work she does.
