Bala joined the Dyslexia Association of Singapore (DAS) in 2016 and is the Assistant Director (Admin) for the English Language and Literacy (ELL) Division as well as the Centre Manager for Jurong Point Learning Center. He also oversees the West Cluster group of Learning Centres, consisting of Jurong Point, REX House and Chua Chu Kang Learning Centres.
He is also the Team lead for the Stakeholders Engagement Team (SET) and works closely with the DAS Parents’ Support Group (PSG) team members.
He has a Specialist Diploma in SPLD (Specific Learning Differences) and Post Graduate Certificates in SEN/Additional Learning Needs: Contexts and Concepts and Dyslexia: Theory and Assessment.
He appreciates the opportunity to learn and do new things with the people he works with.
