Anthony is a Senior Information & Communication Technology Officer with a degree in computer studies and an associate degree from the British Computer Society, has established his credentials in the field of Information Technology for the Hospitality and Tourism Industry since 1988.
Anthony was the original developer and implementer of the first industrial-strength Tours & Travel Management System. Today, the system continues to be deployed by many travel companies in Singapore and Malaysia. He is also an early adopter of e-commerce since 1996. He pioneered the development of Asia’s first Online Hotels and Flights Booking System for the global travel industry. His efforts were recognised when winning the Golden Web Award for two consecutive years in 2000 & 2001. He also won the Intelligent-20 Award by CMPnet in 2001 (for Best Enterprise Users of IT) and was voted for the Best B2B Travel Site in TTG Travel Award 2001.
He was one of the sponsor-members of OTC (Online Technologies Consortium), facilitated by the National Computer Board in 1998, an essential mechanism for transferring technologies and solutions at a shared cost. Its mission is to become the dominant factor and interface in establishing and maintaining industry-led partnerships. OTC members benefitted from the pooling of resources and experiences for the growth of the Online Industry. Goh was the only member representing the Tourism Industry in the consortium.
