COVID-19 ADVISORY 18 – Return to Online Lessons – Phase 2 Heightened Alert till 18 Aug
Dear Parents,
We have received instructions from MOE that the three school-based centres are to switch to online classes from tomorrow, Thursday 22 July. To reduce the risk to students, DAS will be switching most of our programmes in all 14 centres to online lessons until the end of the current Phase 2 Heightened Alert on Wednesday 18 August. We may return to in-person classes earlier if the situation improves.
In the past 15 months, this is the third time DAS is switching 3,000 students to online teaching and we are confident that your child will continue to benefit greatly from the direct teaching via these online lessons. Parents whose children will be attending DAS online classes for the first time can contact your centre manager should you be unclear with the online procedures.
DAS Preschool Programme, Speech and Language Therapy and DAS International Specialist Tutoring will continue in person for the time being except those services provided at our school-based learning centres at Ang Mo Kio, Queenstown and Bedok Learning Centres. Assessment services will also continue.
I am aware this is short notice so I am most appreciative of your support in our decision to continue online so that your child’s learning will not be disrupted.
I would like to express my appreciation to all parents for your immense support of your children and for not letting this virus stop our children from learning!
Stay safe and stay healthy!
