During the CEO-Centre Townhall sessions over the past two weeks, I could sense clear excitement for World Dyslexia Awareness Week (WDAW) and the Decorate Your Centre Competition. I remember raising the idea of WDAW during a GMT Meeting in July and I must admit I never expected Ashraf and his organizing team to run with it to the extent they did. They have created tremendous interest both locally and overseas.
Very importantly, the response of DAS colleagues was incredible to see, reflecting their passion and commitment to our cause for dyslexia. The centre displays were wonderful and unique and many parents and students were drawn in. WDAW has therefore not been just about raising awareness of dyslexia.
It was also a wonderful testament to the spirit of DAS staff !
