The Dyslexia Association of Singapore is saddened by the passing of Diana Hanbury King. Diana was a titan in the community supporting children and people with dyslexia and her knowledge and passion have impacted thousands. Many DAS colleagues will remember her from 2004 when at the tender age of 77, she visited Singapore to conduct training for our Educational Therapists. Myself and our former Director of Training, Kevin Smith, were fortunate to have had the opportunity to visit the excellent Kildonan School near New York in 2007 where Diana was one of the founders. I remember the night Diana made Kevin and I dinner and put us up in her barn for the night! Just as Diana created Kildonan School to empower children with dyslexia, we must all continue to strive to do the same!
