Safinah Binte Hassan joined the Dyslexia Association of Singapore (DAS) in 2005 and is a Lead Educational Therapist and Programme Manager for the Main Literacy Programme (MLP). With over 20 years of experience in literacy intervention, curriculum development and programme management, she leads the development, enhancement and quality assurance of the MLP, ensuring that learners receive evidence-based literacy intervention.

In addition to overseeing the MLP, Safinah contributes to curriculum design and resource development within the English Language and Literacy (ELL) Division. Her work is informed by the Science of Reading, the Science of Learning and Orton-Gillingham principles, with a focus on developing engaging, multisensory learning experiences that support learners with dyslexia and other literacy difficulties.

Safinah is passionate about translating research into classroom practice and believes that every learner can thrive when provided with explicit, structured instruction and the right support to build confidence, independence and a lifelong love for learning.
