ZAKIYYAH BINTI MASRI

Zakiyyah joined the Dyslexia Association of Singapore (DAS) in 2019 and is currently a Senior Educational Therapist at Tampines Learning Centre. She is also a member of the Advisory Team, where one of her key roles is to train and mentor new Educational Therapists, as well as provide educational support and guidance to fellow therapists.

Zakiyyah graduated from the Singapore University of Social Sciences with a Bachelor of Science, in Psychology in 2018, and subsequently obtained a Master’s degree in Special Education from the University of South Wales in 2025. Prior to joining DAS, she worked with students with special educational needs in mainstream school settings from 2014 to 2019. Over the years, Zakiyyah has worked with a wide range of students with special educational needs, including those with co-morbidities such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Zakiyyah believes in incorporating purposeful and engaging elements into her lessons to support the internalisation of concepts. She is passionate about fostering a positive learning environment and hopes to empower students to find joy in learning, recognising that learning is a lifelong journey.
