Surjati is the Deputy Director of the Communications, Engagement and Fundraising (CNF) team. She leads DAS’s fundraising, alumni, volunteer management, and outreach efforts, building meaningful partnerships with donors, supporters, and the wider community to ensure sustainable support for learners with dyslexia and other learning differences.
She joined DAS in 2011, bringing over 18 years of experience in banking, finance, education, and business development. Guided by her heartfelt mission to help children and families overcome the challenges of dyslexia, she plays a pivotal role in strengthening the DAS Bursary Fund, enabling students from low-income families to access specialist education.
Her dedication and advocacy were recognised internationally when she received the Honorary Advocacy Award from the Special Education Network & Inclusion Association (SENIA) in 2014.
