Sandra is a Preschool Educational Therapist with the Dyslexia Association of Singapore (DAS) since 2014. Sandra has worked with well over 100 preschool children at risk of dyslexia as well children with co-morbidities such as ASD, SPD, DCD, GDD, and other social, emotional and behavioural issues. In 2021, she converted to the Flexi Work Scheme and is working part-time in DAS.

Having served in the preschool industry for over 30 years, Sandra has vast experience working with children aged 18 months to 7 years old. She is recognised as an Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA) certified L2 (EL) preschool educator by the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) in Singapore, which qualifies her to be deployed to teach all levels of preschool education.

Since Joining DAS in 2014, Sandra has been actively involved in the Preschool Team. She had taken part in numerous Preschool Mass Screenings in different DAS Learning Centres across Singapore. Sandra also presented at workshops during the Preschool Seminars held at the Lifelong Institute in 2016, 2017 and 2018. Sandra mentored new preschool educational therapists as well as interns from Ngee Ann Polytechnic. She was also the Preschool Resource Rep at Bishan Learning Centre.

Sandra believes that the best teachers are those with experience and commitment. To this end, she has been continuously attending workshops such as Learning without Tears as well as workshops on Learning Disorder Management to enhance her repertoire of teaching skills and to keep up-to-date with the latest developments in the preschool industry.


  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education (Teaching) from the Asian International College (2013).
  • Certification in Dyslexia Teaching from DAS (2014).
  • Advanced Diploma in Special Needs and Inclusive Education from SEED Institute (2016).
  • Post-Diploma Certificate in Fundamentals of Early Childhood Leadership from Temasek Polytechnic (2018).
