Director of Masters Programmes, School of Education

Shirley started her career as a teacher of English, French and Religious Studies at a secondary modern school in London, before taking up the post as Head of Philosophy & Religious Studies at a sixth form college. Since moving to Newport, she has taught across a wide range of courses including the BA Primary Studies and the BA Philosopy & Religious Studies. In her current post as Director of MA Programmes in SHALL/FESS, Shirley manages the MA Education and LNA which houses the interwoven specialist awards in Autism, CAHM, Early Years, ESDGC, ICT, Leadership and Management, RE, SEN and TESOL/TEAL.

She is a visiting lecturer in the MA SEN Programme.
