THROUGH THE EYES OF DYSLEXIA

Through the Eyes of Dyslexia, as the main theme of the competition, we are looking for art pieces that bring out the world through the eyes of a person with dyslexia.  You may have a loved one with dyslexia, know of someone with dyslexia or you may have dyslexia yourself, we want to see your creation and interpretation from various perspectives. 

All art pieces submitted will need to be accompanied with a short write-up about your work. We seek your rights to upload all pieces on our official DAS Instagram upon your submission.

  3. DAS Alumni
  4. Parents/Guardian/Family Members of DAS students

A digital image of the artwork together with the artist number is to be sent to nicole@das.org.sg

Top 20 Artists

All selected pieces will be displayed for viewing at World Dyslexia Awareness Week (WDAW) event from 1 to 6 Oct 2019. For more info about WDAW, click here

 

SUBMISSIONS

  • All participants must register here first. A confirmation email with your artist number will be sent to you in your email.
  • The artwork must be the original work of the participant. Artwork can be done in any medium (pencils, colour pencils, crayon, markers, watercolour, acrylic painting, oil painting, sculpture, illustration, digital artwork, mixed media, etc.)
  • A digital image of the artwork together with the artist number is to be sent to nicole@das.org.sg. Hard copies will be required if the artwork has been selected.
  • Hard copy entries can be submitted at Tampines, Jurong Point or Bishan Learning Centre and submitted by 22 September 2019.
  • All submissions to include Full name, Artist number and a short write-up for artwork.
  • All entries will be displayed on social media platforms.Top 20 winning entries will be displayed at the various ARTVenture exhibitions.

JUDGING CRITERIA

  1. Interpretation of the theme
  2. Creativity and originality of the depicted theme
  3. Quality of artistic composition and overall design based on the theme
  4. Overall impression of the artwork
