We extend an invitation to you to join us in raising funds for children with dyslexia from low-income families as you hit the links for a good cause. Let's work together to ensure these children receive the education they deserve!

STARTING BID: $100
ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Desiree has always loved drawing since she was in preschool. In Primary 1, she began attending art classes and has been drawing ever since. In 2019, while in Primary 2, Desiree joined the art competition at the DAS and won a consolation prize. She has since then produced multiple pieces that have been used for fundraising activities at the DAS. Currently a Primary 5 student at Mayflower Primary School, Desiree hopes to be able to use her flair in the arts to help raise funds for her peers with dyslexia just like her.Live Painting by DAS Student Elijah
ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Currently in Kuo Chuan Presbyterian Secondary School, Elijah Lim has been drawing for 6 years now. When Elijah draws, he draws things that he feels, not sees. For example, if it is a negative image, it means he is frustrated and if it is a positive image, it means he is high-spirited! Elijah has also actively participated in DAS fundraising events such as the DAS 30th Anniversary Gala Dinner in 2022 where he presented another live painting. He mentioned that although there were some obstacles in his way, DAS is not all about education and is also a place where he feels heard.Upcycled Items by DAS Alumnus Nuryanee
ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Nuryanee, a DAS alumnus, overcame dyslexia and mental health challenges to become a successful entrepreneur and student. Despite encountering initial struggles with learning difficulties, she received intervention at DAS and graduated in 2011. Throughout her secondary school years, Nuryanee faced mental health issues, which served as a catalyst for personal growth as she acquired coping mechanisms and embraced her imperfections. In spite of these obstacles, she achieved exceptional results in her O Level examinations, enabling her to pursue her passion for Business Administration at Singapore Polytechnic. Currently a freshman at the National University of Singapore, Nuryanee excels academically while managing her own sustainable fashion business called Commenhers. Through Commenhers, she upcycles fabric waste into fashionable accessories.
All funds received will go towards children with dyslexia from low-income families.
Donations are entitled to 2.5 times tax deduction.
