The Dyslexia Association of Singapore (DAS) invites you to support its inaugural Charity Golf and Dinner Event. This event is aimed at raising much needed funds for children with dyslexia from low-income families so that they can receive the education they deserve. More than 50% of our students receive a bursary and DAS needs to raise more than $1 million annually to support these children.
The Charity Golf and Dinner Event will be held at Tanah Merah Country Club. We are pleased to announce that our Guest of Honour for the evening will be Mr Ong Ye Kung, Minister for Education (Higher Education and Skills) and Second Minister for Defense.
Our golf flights cost $5,000 each which gives you an opportunity to win many prizes, have lunch and dinner and all in aid of a good cause! There are also $8,000 Corporate flights and many more opportunities to sponsor this event and we would welcome your support. Please refer to our sponsorship table to see where you may be able to help us.
We are pleased to announce that there will be three Hole-in-One prizes: A Car, A Motorbike and a Bali Villa stay with Business Class Airfares.
Registration for the DAS Charity Golf and Dinner is open.
I have been associated with DAS since 1995 and the team led by DAS President Mr Eric Lee has been doing an incredible job for children and people with Dyslexia. If you would like to sponsor this event we would love to hear from you.

The Dyslexia Association of Singapore invites you to support its inaugural Charity Golf and Dinner event to be held on 23 May 2018. We are pleased to announce that the Guest-of- Honour will be Mr Ong Ye Kung, Minister for Education (Higher Education and Skills) and Second Minister for Defense.
Dyslexia is a learning difficulty that affects a child’s ability to read, write and spell. Many children referred to DAS have been detected late in their learning journey. As a result of experiencing repeated failure in school, the self-esteem of many of these children is very low. We can do much more to help these children travel a different path. DAS focuses on providing quality services and education to children with special needs and advocates early detection and intervention of learning difficulties.
In 2017, more than 50% of DAS families were from lower income families and required bursaries to access DAS specialist educational services. DAS provided more than $1 million in bursaries every year and this figure is rising. Without the support of generous people and organisations of Singapore this support would not be possible.
I would like to appeal to your organisation to join us in our journey towards an inclusive society where children will not be disadvantaged in the classroom because of their learning difficulties. We would be most grateful if you would consider supporting DAS, in the form of a cash donation, prizes for the lucky draw or other contributions as specified in the attached sponsorship table. Cash donations will receive tax receipts equivalent to 2.5 times the value.
I have been associated with DAS since 1995. The DAS team is doing most important work to help children with learning difficulties grow and maximize their contribution to the nation. Singapore requires every one of its next generation to become productive citizens, or at least be given every opportunity to fulfill their potential.
On behalf of the dyslexic children we serve, I thank you and look forward to your sponsorship for the Charity Golf and Dinner.
