Registered in 1991, the Dyslexia Association of Singapore (DAS) is today a vibrant voluntary welfare organisation with over 240 full-time staff who provide a wide array of services for dyslexics not only in Singapore but in the region. DAS Educational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists and Specialist Psychologists provide support for over 3,000 preschool, primary and secondary school students in 13 centres all over Singapore.

Besides the main literacy programme, DAS also offers support in Mathematics, Chinese, English Exam Skills and Speech and Drama Arts. Increasingly, DAS will provide support for dyslexics who also suffer from other specific learning differences such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), dyspraxia, dyscalculia and non-verbal learning differences. We rely heavily on public donations to sustain our daily operations.

In our efforts to continuously provide and improve our professional services to dyslexics in Singapore, DAS appreciates your kind support. Donations received will go towards our increasing operational expenses. If you wish to donate towards the needy children, please click HERE instead.

The 2.5 times tax deduction for qualifying donations will be extended for another 3 years from 1 Jan 2016 to 31 Dec 2018.

All donations to the DAS are eligible for tax exemption. If you wish to claim tax exemption, please provide your NRIC/FIN/UEN number for auto tax deduction by IRAS. In Remembrance of Dr Jimmy Daruwalla, Founding President, DAS Executive Committee

The Executive Committee, Management and Staff of the Dyslexia Association of Singapore (DAS) offer sincere condolences to the family of Dr Jimmy Daruwalla who passed away 6 July 2016.

Dr Daruwalla was the founding President of DAS when it was first registered in 1991 and continued in this role for 25 years. The success of DAS would not have been possible without his dynamic leadership and contribution over the years. Dr Daruwalla's passion to provide the best possible support for students with dyslexia has resulted in the growth of DAS into the organisation it is today that supports thousands of children with dyslexia.

Dr Daruwalla saw dyslexia as an asset. He wanted to ensure that the stigma surrounding the difficulties that children with dyslexia have in education is removed and that by embracing the strengths and talents of these children and providing the support that they need to succeed, they will make a greater difference in the fabric of Singapore's progress.

Embrace Dyslexia and may Dr Daruwalla's legacy continue to grow.

To donate to the Fund, please make out a cheque to the Dyslexia Association of Singapore and indicate at the back of the cheque "For Jimmy Daruwalla Fund".
The proceeds will go toward a fund in memory of our founding President.
The funds will be used to support individuals with dyslexia.
